What happened in 2016?

What is CBS Case Competition OPEN

CBS Case Competition OPEN, is a case competition open to all students enrolled at a European university. CBS Case Competition OPEN gives students the opportunity to enhance their analytical skillset by solving a real-life business case. Participants will receive professional feedback, and have an opportunity to win money prizes.

The participants are given 22 hours to crack the case. The case can be downloaded and solved anywhere and handed in online. If participants qualify for the Finals, transportation will be arranged and covered by CBS Case Competition.

Who can take part in CBS Case Competition OPEN?

A team in CBS Case Competition OPEN must consist of 2 – 4 students.

Exchange students and visiting full-time students at the above institutions are eligible, as are students that are on exchange from the institutions specified in §4 (e.g. a student from University of Southern Denmark on exchange in London)

The team can be composed by students across universities, if all fall under the above geographical limitation.

If you do not have a full team, you can find members through our Mix & Match.

Can I participate if I have no previous case experience?

No prior business or case solving experience is necessary. CBS Case Competition OPEN is meant to be a fun and learning experience.

When and where is the competition going to be held?

The case will be uploaded on our webpage Wednesday at 10 am in Week 9. The solutions can be delivered online, which means that the case can be solved from your home university. The Finals will be held at Copenhagen Business School, and the five finalists will be flown to Copenhagen to present in front of a prominent jury.

Do I have to register individually or as a team?

It is required that the team is composed of minimum 2 but up to 4 students. If your team is incomplete, or registering as an individual, you can find more team members through our Mix & Match site.

What is the difference between the international Case and CCC OPEN?

CBS Case Competition is an invitation-only undergraduate case competition exclusive to 12 global university teams. CBS Case Competition OPEN is a sign-up based competition allowing all students from European universities to solve the same case, but in separate finals.
